Creole Queen Mississippi River Cruise

Enjoy two of the most authentic attractions in New Orleans, a beautiful and historic cruise aboard a historic paddlewheeler on the Mississippi and a mule-drawn carriage tour of the French Quarter!

What to expect on the carriage tour:

You'll have so much fun laughing while learning about the storied history of New Orleans. Our expert guides are loads of fun, ensuring that this won't be a boring history lecture!

Why walk or ride a bus when a mule-drawn adventure through the French Quarter is an option? Our 1-Hour Carriage Tour of the French Quarter covers more ground and more information than a 2-Hour Walking Tour.

Choose from our French Quarter History OR History & Haunts Carriage Tours.

What to expect on the Creole Queen:

Narrated by a costumed re-enactor, guests will be taken on a journey through the history of the city as the Creole Queen Paddlewheeler sails 6-miles down the Mississippi River to the Jean Lafitte National Historical Park and historic Chalmette Battlefield.

The Creole Queen cruise also includes a shore excursion at the battlefield features a guided tour and talk by National Park Rangers discussing the 1815 Battle of New Orleans.

Combining these two popular New Orleans attractions will guarantee that you see and learn a lot while visiting!

KJ's Story: How I Became a French Quarter Carriage Driver

We thoroughly enjoyed our tour with Kim and her beautiful mule "Sugar" on our visit to New Orleans. My husband and I passed these beautiful carriages several times and debated about the cost of taking such a tour. My husband surprised me and we took a half hour tour around the French Quarter that was MORE than a valuable and fun experience! We thought it would be just a ride around the French Quarter, but we were guided by houses with a rich history and we learned SO MUCH about the history of the French Quarter. Don't pass up this opportunity to get the best views of the French Quarter!
